Family Reunion

Ainsley got to see a lot of family last weekend that she does not often get to see. Unfortunately it was for her Great Grandpa's funeral. He passed away at 98 after a long and full life. It was nice to remember him and get to spend a little bit of time with family.

Ainsley with Great Grandma Smith. I hope I can still dress up and wear heels when I am 94!!

Ainsley with her uncle Russ who flew in from San Diego. She was only 6 weeks old the last time she saw him so she appreciated his funny faces and noises a lot more this time!

Ainsley with her Mommy and uncle Mark. She was a little tired when all these pictures were taken because it was a long weekend traveling home and being carted around from here to there! She did great though and had a great time looking at all the new faces she doesn't get to see every day!

Ainsley got to meet her other Grandma---Grandma Sylvia---for the first time also! I know she doesn't relish the idea of being called "grandma" though so I better think of something else even though she has several grand children!!

Me, Ainsley, my brothers Mark and Russ and step mom Syliva all spending some time together and enjoying Ainsley.

It's rare that my brothers and I are in the same place at the same time much less that Mark actually has a suit on so this had to be captured on film! Sorry Mom--I know you're probably mad that I put this picture of you on the blog, but too bad!

Softball Games and Sun Hats!

Ainsley and Mom before going out for a stroller ride on a sunny day. She is so cute in her little sun hat although I'm not sure she likes it since it covers her eyes if it's not rolled up some!

Ainsley and her buddy William hanging out together at their first church league softball game. It was one of the few games that was before her bed time! She was in the process of starting to roll over just as I took this!

Daddy and Ainsley after the game.....let's hope she gets his catching and throwing ability some day!

Ainsley starting to get tired......the game ended right near her bed time so it was time to pack up and go home. She cashed out on the car ride home.

Thought I would include a more recent picture of our new house. They are making good progress with the framing and actually have the whole upper level framed now. The framing part should be done by the end of the week so things are moving now that the weather is good. Nick, Ainsley and I go by the house at least every other day to check on the progress!

6 Months!

Ainsley will turn 6 months tomorrow. It seems like the time has just flown by. Today we went and got her pictures taken for the occasion. After three different outfits, a lot of flashing and lots of people trying to get her to smile big she was wiped out! They turned out really well. Here are some new pictures we have taken over the last couple of weeks.

Ainsley was all loaded up in her car seat and ready for a ride the other day. It was cold so her hood was up and blanket on. It needs to get warm fast....she is getting too big for all of her long sleeved things!

Playing with her blocks on the floor and smiling at Dad in her new sun hat. This was before I washed and dried it and it shrunk! It still fits her though.....

Getting ready to chew on one of the stuffed blocks. Everything goes in her mouth these days....those blocks are just a little too big. She tries though!

Scowling during her dinner the other night. She was tired and ready for her bath. She thought it was funny to furrow her eyebrows at me so I did the same thing back to her, then she would smile.

Playing with her teddy bear in her nursery. We were going to have her wear this dress for her 6 months pictures, but when we tried it on this morning it was a little tight over her big belly and barely covered her butt! She grows SO fast.

Modeling the shades she got from her grandma Lilli. Those make for some good pictures! She is set for summer!
