The Proud family has been busy these days! Ainsley gets more fun each day and she is such a sweethear. She is starting to eat more "real" food now like the Baby Mum Mum rice wafers, Gerber Puffs, crackers, etc. At first she wasn't too thrilled with texture but now she will open her mouth up wide for a Puff when I get them out :) As you'll see below, we have also started with the sippy cup. Too bad she knows where to put it, but thinks the spout is to chew on! Ainsley is also close to crawling--she is rocking back and forth on her hands and knees and one of these days she's just going to take off! She is transitioning from the infant 1 room to the infant 2 room at school (along with her friend Peyton) so she will be around a few babies who already "cruise" so I'm sure she'll learn fast.
Ainsley also had a great time a couple of weeks ago when our friends Travis and Nicole (miss you guys!) and their little girl Olivia came out for a visit. Her and Olivia had lots of fun playing together and we got to catch up a little. The girls are only 5 days apart. Lastly, Ainsley has been "helping" us pack because we sold our house and will be moving this weekend! Our new home is not going to be done until August but it turns out our friend took a job in Dallas so we are going to rent his place until our home is done. The house is coming along nicely although there are a lot of decisions to make. I am thinking of just putting some countertop samples in front of Ainsley and going with whatever one she tries to put in her mouth first!
Ainsley's first experience with non-baby food----the Baby Mum Mum. She didn't know what to do with it at first!
Chewing on her sippy cup in spite of my nice demonstration of how to drink from one. One day she'll figure out what it is really for.
Ainsley eating a Puff. Most of the time she prefers me to feed them to her, but this time she managed to get one in her mouth!
Bath time! Ainsley is getting her "hair did." She loves splashing around and attempting to eat the washcloth if I set it down.
Ainsley and Olivia battling over the rings. I think Olivia ended up winning!
Here is some of the progress on our house. Since I took this picture, they have sided the rest of the house and have also built the pillars for the arched entry way and the support for the porch. It is fun to watch the progress and all the stages it goes through. We feel very blessed to have sold our current home and to have a nice home that we can grow in to as a family.
