Trip to Amana Colonies

The three of us decided to take a little trip to the Amana Colonies the first weekend in May for their May Fest. We had a great time. There was a parade (think Dutch Days only German instead) and Ainsley loved the horses, the marching bands and of course the candy that got thrown. We enjoyed some shopping there and Ainsley got to pet some baby chicks and bunnies. The weather was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable Saturday.

Ainsley was quite amused by the baby chicks.

What are you doing Dad?

Chillin' on the park bench.

Strolling with Daddy.

We grabbed a quick lunch---of course you have to have a brat when you are in Amana.

Mmmmmm.....sucker.

Parade watching with Daddy and Mommy.

Nick got me some flowers for Mother's Day and Ainsley had fun playing with one of the daisies.

Say Cheese!

Hi guys! Hope all is going well in Eastern Iowa, looks like you had a fun day in Amana. Ainsley is as cute as ever and is getting so big! We are anticipating our new little girl, house, and chasing around a busy body toddler, which I'm sure you can relate too! I am almost 38 weeks along, and am definitely ready to not be pregnant, but not quite sure if I am ready for both an infant and toddler! And not really ready for no sleep either!!! At least I will know what I am doing this time around (hopefully:). Anyway, just wanted to say hi and hope things are good with all of you. I bet Nick is looking foward to the end of the school year. Tell him hi and hopefully we will be able to see you guys soon when we get a little more settled with everything...

Hi Ainsley, I like your pictures--it looks like you had lots of fun. The little chicks are so cute, don't you think so? I enjoyed your visit on Mother's Day and am glad you could come to church. You were such a good girl, too. We will see you again soon, I hope. Love, Grandma Lilli
